Mikuru Asahina

Mikuru Asahina (朝比奈 みくる, Asahina Mikuru?) is a main character in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu).
Voiced by Gotō Yūko and Stephanie Sheh, Mikuru is Haruhi Suzumiya's senpai. She was "voluntarily arrested" by Haruhi, who was searching for potential members, and caught Mikuru daydreaming in the classroom. Mikuru was forced to leave the Calligraphy Club and join the SOS-Dan instead.
The primary reasons for Haruhi wanting Mikuru to join was her sex appeal, lolita-like face and large bust. This is because Haruhi believes that a mascot-like "loli character" needs to be around for anything extraordinary to happen.
Mikuru's character is cute and she has a childish naïveté when compared to the rest, Haruhi being the only other exception. She is also, however, a time-traveler. As such, much personal information about her, including her age, is unknown. When asked such details by Kyon, she replies "Classified Information." At one point, a future version of her appears, to give Kyon a necessary bit of information, and a few other ones. Included in this is a warning "Not to get close to me".
Mikuru has a star shaped mole on her left breast, it appears in The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi III and Chapter 5? of the current manga. She did not realize she had this, until it was pointed out to her by Kyon. Kyon, however, did not have knowledge of the mole until Future Mikuru told him the day before, thereby creating a time loop.
